| Cause | Microsoft recently changed Microsoft 365 so that the 64-bit version of the install is the default. |
| Resolution | [BCB:5:Third-party support:ECB] How to install the 32-bit version if you have a subscription to Microsoft 365 - If you need to change from the 64-bit version of Office, you need to uninstall first. Go to Control Panel, then Programs and Features, Uninstall a Program.
- Find Microsoft Office in the list and click it so that it’s highlighted. Click the uninstall/change button and choose to Remove.
- Once the uninstall finishes, go to https://portal.office.com and log in with your Microsoft 365 credentials.
- On the bottom left, click Apps.
- On the top right, click Install apps.
- Select Microsoft 365 apps.
- Click View apps & devices.
- Change the version from 64 to 32 and click Install Office.
