Description
Access to the path is denied, "ProgramData\Sage\IPM\MessageList" when clicking the in-product Messages icon
Cause
Resolution

Option 1:

  1. Click Home and Resources, Sage Messaging, Message Center, to open the Sage Message Center window.
  2. Close the Sage Message Center window and attempt to open it by clicking the Messages icon located in the lower left footer of the Sage 100 Contractor desktop.



Option 2:

  1. Click Home and Resources, Sage Messaging, Preferences.
  2. Under the Notify Me column, uncheck all items except for Support Alerts, then close the window.
  3. Re-open Home and Resources, Sage Messaging, Preferences
  4. Re-check all the items under the Notify Me column and close the window.
  5. Click the Messages icon, located in the lower left footer of the Sage 100 Contractor desktop. The Sage Message Center should now open normally.



Option 3:

Verify the Windows user is assigned Full control permissions to C:\ProgramData\Sage\IPM directory

  1. Close Sage 100 Contractor.
  2. From Windows File Explorer, browse to the following location: C:\ProgramData\Sage
  3. Locate and right-click on the IPM folder. Select Properties.
  4. Click the Security tab. Click Edit, Add
  5. Add the current Windows user and assign Full control.
  6. Reopen Sage 100 Contractor. Click the Messages icon.
