To preform Item Takeoff:

1. Open the Item Takeoff window:
   • On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Item.
   • In classic view, click Takeoff > Item Takeoff.
2. Select an item and take it off.

If you have formulas assigned to your takeoff items, Sage Estimating displays the variables (dimensions and specs) for them in the variable pane.

3. Enter or calculate the item takeoff quantities.

To calculate quantities, you can:

• • Use formulas.
  • Use the calculator.
