Resolution

To Perform Assembly Takeoff:

  1. Open the Assembly Takeoff window:
    • On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Assembly.
    • In classic view, click Takeoff > Assembly Takeoff, or click on Assembly Takeoff icon on the toolbar.
  2. Select an assembly and take it off.

If you use formulas in your assemblies, Sage Estimating displays the variables (dimensions and specs) for the assembly in the variable pane.

  1. (optional) Change the assembly description in the variable pane.
  2. Enter or calculate a takeoff quantity for the item.

To calculate quantities, you can:

    • Use formulas.
    • Use the calculator.
    • Adjust assembly productivity.

 

  1. When you are ready to generate the assembly to the spreadsheet, click [OK] in the Assembly Takeoff window.
