What service options are available when emailing?
Description
  • Microsoft Outlook 32-bit your default service will be ISG MAPI, but you can also use Outlook
  • Microsoft Outlook 64-bit your default will be Outlook. If you receive errors using a 64-bit version of Outlook, you'll need to install the 32-bit version
     NOTE: ISG MAPI doesn't work with 64-bit 

Currently, we only support the ISG MAPI and Outlook services.

 You can find the service option on the bottom left-hand corner of the Electronic Forms Manager when emailing.

The supported service options are:

  • ISG MAPI:  Default setting for Sage BusinessWorks.  Recommended for 32-bit Microsoft Outlook.  No additional configuration needed
  • Outlook: Direct connection to Microsoft Outlook, recommended for 64-bit Microsoft Outlook. You can configure batch emailing with this option

Other options:

 CAUTION:  Sage BusinessWorks doesn't use these options.  Sage support can’t assist with their setup or guarantee functionality.

  • Simple MAPI: Basic messaging feature included with Windows Mail. Only use this if you're using the default Windows main client
  • Extended MAPI: Provides full control over the messaging system, available with Office Outlook Exchange
  • SMTP: Standard email protocol.  You'll need to enter SMTP settings (Host Address, Port, User ID, and Password) provided by your email provider
  • Thunderbird: For users of Thunderbird email
  • Gmail: Requires OAUTH2 settings (Redirect URI, Client ID, and Secret) from your Gmail administrator
    Office 365: Connect using OAUTH2 settings
