How do I increase my available user licenses?

Cause

Resolution
  1. Have everyone log out of Sage 50.
    • If using Remote Data Access(RDA) you will need do steps 3-8 on all PC's that are connecting to RDA
    • Do not have the data open while doing this process!
  2. Open Sage 50 on the server
    • Cancel out of any prompts to open company data, where you only see the 3 basic options, Open an Existing Company, Connect to a Shared Company, and Create a New Company
  3. Select Help, and then Sage 50 Activation, Licensing, and Subscription Options.
  4. Select Change your current version.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Serial number field, enter the new serial number that was received.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Verify Sage 50 activates successfully. Refer to How do I know if Sage 50—U.S. Edition is activated? for steps to verify activation.
  9. If the program is installed on the workstation; open and select Help, About Sage 50 Accounting: verify the Serial Number. The serial number may have updated automatically to match the server; if not, repeat Steps 3-8 on the workstation.
