| How to rename a database used in Timeslips Premium and 2017+ |
Cause | - Database names can be changed for various purposes
|
Resolution | - Start Timeslips Administrator on the database server
- Click View Network Databases
- Click the hyper-linked path to be taken to the database location
- If the path shown is not clickable, you are not on the database server or using an IP address for the server identifier
- Rename the database using the Windows rename function
- Do not use the name MAIN.FDB for a network database - MAINDB.FDB would be acceptable
- Click Refresh to see new filename
- Select the new database name, highlight it and click Register Database
- Locate the old database name, highlight it and click Unregister Database
- Click Done
