Locate the Timeslip.cfg file
- Open Timeslips Administrator.
- Click Diagnose This Computer.
- Make note of the Installation Path displayed.
The Timeslip.cfg file resides inside this installation folder. Use Windows File Explorer to browse to that location.
Send the config file to an analyst
- Open your email application.
- Click Attach File.
- Browse to the Timeslips Installation Path.
- Select Timeslip.cfg.
- Add your ticket number or account number to the email subject.
- Send the email to the analyst assisting you.
Apply the updated config file
After the analyst returns the updated configuration file, follow these steps.
- Open Windows File Explorer.
- Browse to the same Timeslips Installation Path.
- Rename the existing Timeslip.cfg file to another name.
- Any name works, as long as it changes.
- Open the email containing the updated file.
- Save the new file as Timeslip.cfg.
- Place the file in the same installation folder.
Once you replace the file, Sage Timeslips uses the updated configuration automatically.
