Cause

Missing AESCrypto.dll file

The workstation can't locate AESCrypto.dll in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Sage\Common Components\
Sage Engineering is currently researching this issue.
Resolution

Before you begin

TIP:

If Sage was upgraded from a previous version on the server, uninstall Federal and State eFiling and reinstall it as Administrator before installing workstations. This process installs the updated AESCrypto.dll file on the server.

 

Advanced and Premium

  1. Install the latest product update.
  2. Follow the instructions in Unable to Initialize (111310).
  3. Retry processing the Federal and State Tax Report.

Standard

  1. Download AESCrypto.dll from the attachment.
  2. Save the file to the workstation receiving the error.
  3. Copy AESCrypto.dll to:
    C:\ProgramData\Sage\Common Components\
  4. If you can't locate ProgramData, unhide hidden folders in Windows.
  5. Retry processing the Aatrix form.

Steps to duplicate

1. Log into Sage 100 Standard from a workstation 2. Open Accounts Payable, Reports, Forms 1099 Tax Reporting NOTE: make sure '1099 Reporting' is enabled in AP Options on Main tab 3. Change Form Type to 'Miscellaneous' 4. Click Accept 5. Notice you receive either Error 88 CI_EFilingCommon.pvc 280" Also happens when printing Tax forms from PR. I received "Error 88 CI_eFillingCommon.pvc 549" when printing 1099 forms from AP NOTE: AESCrypto.dll does not get loaded to C:\ProgramData\Sage\CommonComponents\ on the workstation during Sage 100 workstation installation
