Error 88 CI_EFilingCommon.pvc 280 when processing Federal and State Tax Reports.
Description
Cause

AESCrypto.dll is not found on the Workstation in C:\ProgramData\Sage\Common Components\. Sage Engineering is currenty researching this issue

Resolution

NOTE: If Sage has been upgraded from a previous version on the Server, uninstall Federal and State efiling and reinstall it, running as Admin, before installing on workstations. This will install the AESCrypto.dll file on the Server with the new version.

Advanced and Premium

  • Install the latest product update per the Sage Knowledgebase KB article "Unable to Initialize" (111310).

Standard

  1. Download AESCrypto.dll file attached to this article (see Attachment section) to workstation receiving the error
  2. Copy the file to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Common Components\ folder (sometimes the program data folder is hidden so unhide folder if you can't locate)
  3. Retry processing Aatrix form

Steps to duplicate

1. Log into Sage 100 Standard from a workstation 2. Open Accounts Payable, Reports, Forms 1099 Tax Reporting NOTE: make sure '1099 Reporting' is enabled in AP Options on Main tab 3. Change Form Type to 'Miscellaneous' 4. Click Accept 5. Notice you receive either Error 88 CI_EFilingCommon.pvc 280" Also happens when printing Tax forms from PR. I received "Error 88 CI_eFillingCommon.pvc 549" when printing 1099 forms from AP NOTE: AESCrypto.dll does not get loaded to C:\ProgramData\Sage\CommonComponents\ on the workstation during Sage 100 workstation installation
