| | Error: "Unable to continue: designated license server does not have any active licenses" |
| Cause | All of the license uses are currently checked out. |
| Resolution | - Open License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor on the server.
- Under Licensed modules, check the heading labeled Uses checked out.
- If any license uses are checked out, ask the user to:
- Log in to Sage 100 Contractor.
- Click Administration, Licenses, Check-in license use.
- From License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor on the server, click the Active Users tab.
- Note any machine names displayed on the Active Users tab.
- Close Sage 100 Contractor on those machines and reboot those workstations.
Multi-server licensing If you use the Multi-Server Licensing feature and both servers have the same machine name: - Select only one machine to host all licenses and uses. This becomes the new Host License Server for Sage 100 Contractor.
- Configure Server Settings to point the second server to the new host server by IP address only.
- Open Sage 100 Contractor and update the license server inside the program by IP address only.
Seat limit and ghost connections When checking the Active Users tab: - Count all active users and confirm you’re at your seat limit.
- Ensure one isn’t a terminal server ghost connection. This happens if a user closes Sage incorrectly without logging off the terminal server.
- If a user can’t log in, restart the terminal server after logging everyone off in Task Manager, Users tab.
- Seek IT help if you’re unsure about these steps.
