| Cause | The computer name or IP address of your license server has changed. The user is entering "127.0.0.1" or "localhost" in the License Administration module, on a machine that isn't the license server. |
| Resolution | This happens when the license server isn't selected during installation. Follow these steps to resolve it. To select the license server during installation - Launch Sage 100 Contractor after installation.
- Select Find the server on the list, or manually enter the IP address or computer name.
- If selecting from a list, locate the license server, select it, and click OK.
- Alternatively, type the license server's computer name or IP address.
- On the license server itself, enter 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
- Click OK.
- If the license server is valid, a confirmation screen appears. Click OK.
- Click Open Company and log in to the company.
To change the license server after installation If you need to change the license server later, follow these steps: - Open Sage 100 Contractor.
- When the Company List screen opens, click Cancel.
- Click the gray X inside the Connect SQL Server box.
- Click the X until it turns red, then click it.
- In the lower right-hand corner, click Change License Server.
- Select Find the server on the list, or manually enter the IP address or computer name.
- If selecting from a list, locate the license server, select it, and click OK.
- Alternatively, type the license server's computer name or IP address.
- If you're on the license server, enter 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
- Click OK.
- If the license server is valid, a confirmation screen appears. Click OK.
- Click Open Company in the top left or bottom-right corner to log into your company.
- If using the SQL version, connect to the SQL server, then choose your company.
