| Licensing errors occur after a server power loss |
Resolution | Steps to follow after a server crash - Start the server, then restart the server.
NOTE: This will allow the computer to shut down correctly and normally start all services. - Close the Sage 100 Contractor or the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate License Administration applet.
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run command.
- Type "Services.msc" and click OK to open the Windows Services console.
- Locate the applicable service:
- Sage 100 Contractor: Sage 100 Contractor SQL Hosting Framework
- Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate: Sage 300 CRE Hosting Framework
- Sage Estimating: Sage Estimating Licensing Service
- Right-click the service name and click Stop.
- Open Windows File Explorer.
- Go to C:\ProgramData\Sage\CRE\HostingFramework.
NOTE: There you'll see subfolders relating to the services noted above. - Under the folders for the applicable product service, rename the Licensing folder.
- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to return to the Windows Services console.
- Right-click the applicable product service and click Start.
- Open License Administration and click Update.
- Enter the information when the Sage Client ID and Registration number are missing.
