How to adjust the last unit cost of an inventory item

Resolution
  1. Go to Tasks > Inventory Adjustments.
  2. Choose an item with an incorrect Cost.
  3. Adjust the item Quantity to 0 (for example: if there’s 20 on hand, enter an adjustment of -20).
    • If the item is already at 0, the cost will update the next time you purchase the item
  4. Click Save.
  5. Enter another adjustment for the same item dated the next day, increasing the quantity to the original amount.
  6. Enter the proper unit cost for this item and click Save. 
    • Perform the above for every item that has an incorrect cost
  7. Verify that the items now have the proper cost.

 NOTE: You can change the last unit cost on the maintenance record itself until it’s purchased or added as an inventory adjustment.
