NOTE: Saving backups directly to removable media can damage the backup file. Because of this, we recommend saving the backup to the local drive first. Then copy the backup to the removable media. 

1. Have any other users close out of the Sage 50 company.
2. Go to File > Back Up and click the Back Up button.
3. In the Save in drop-down, select the Desktop.
4. Click Save and then click OK. The backup will save to the Desktop.
5. Click the Windows Start button. In the Search field, type Desktop.
6. Click the Desktop folder icon when it comes up. This will open it in the File Explorer. 
7. Right-click the backup file you just made and select Copy.
8. Browse to your removable media drive (USB flash drive, memory card, etc.) and open it.
9. On the keyboard, press CTRL + V to paste the file. It will copy to the removable media.
10. Once the file copies successfully, you can delete the backup file from the Desktop if you wish.
