If I leave my computer for a while and then come back the program is frozen and we must force it to close.
Description

  2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Network Adapters, right-click on the specific network adapter, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Power Management tab. Uncheck. The Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.

Remote Data Access

  1. Sage 50 will timeout after time to save power and network resources and payload by default.
  2. Close your Sage 50 data file when stepping away from the computer.

Cause
  • Momentary drop in network connection
  • Network Interface Card (NIC) going to sleep
  • Wireless network connection drop
Resolution
  • Disable all power management features for the NICs on each machine. See the additional information section for instructions.
  • If you’re running a wireless network, then hard wire your computers to the network and see if you still experience the issue. Sage 50 isn’t supported over a wireless network.
  • Test the computer where the data resides to see if the same thing happens there. If it doesn't, then there’s an issue with the network that a network technician needs to resolve.
