Description

Cause

Computer name changed on a SQL Host computer and the Computer name and instance name do not match

Resolution

Option 1:
Rename the computer name back to the original name.

Option 2:
Rename the SQL Server instance name (IT will need to search for the Microsoft Document to make this change).

Option 3:
Create a new SQL instance and restore all databases from backup.
