Assign payroll tax fields to the W2 form

Resolution
  1. Go to Maintain, Payroll, Payroll Settings
  2. Select Taxes and then Assign TaxFields
  3. Click W-2 Fields
  4. To assign payroll fields to the main tax and benefits fields (e.g. Federal income tax withheld, Social Security tax withheld, etc.) and for W-2 Box 14: Other, select the drop down arrow next to the field and then select the desired payroll field from the drop down list to assign it to the W2.
  5. To assign payroll fields to W-2 Box 12, select the drop down arrow next to field and then select the desired payroll field from the drop down list to assign it to the W2. Then select the corresponding drop down list in the Use Code... column to assign the appropriate code for the Box 12 payroll field.
  6. Click OK and then click Finish
