Downloading and Installing Timeslips Updates

 

• For Network Installations

1. Have everyone close Timeslips on all machines
2. Go to the server to download the update from the link provided
3. Download the desired update. If prompted to Run or Save the file, choose Save
4. Important!!!   Right-click the update file and select Run As Administrator after the download completes
5. Click Next
6. Verify the path indicated on this screen is the physical location of the Timeslips program you are updating.
   • Choosing the destination location is important. This will be the shared location and will be a actual drive path, not the UNC path.
7. Click Next
8. Click Install
9. Click Finish when the verification of update completion appears and the Read Me document will open in a web browser.

Timeslips updates will be installed on all workstations after updating the server. Opening Timeslips on the workstation will prompt to update the local machine.

• For Single-station Installations

1. Close Timeslips
2. Download the desired update. You may be prompted to Run or Save the file, choose Save
3. Important!!!   Right-click the update file and select Run As Administrator after the download completes
4. Click Next
5. Choosing the destination location is important, verify the path indicated on this screen is the location of the Timeslips program you are updating. Click Next
6. Click Install
7. Click Finish when the verification of update completion appears
