What is the difference between a backup and an internal archive?
Description
Cause
Resolution
  • An archive is a read-only version of your company data. The archive will prevent accidental data entry. You can however print reports, invoices, etc
  • A backup provides the ability to restore a fully operational copy of your data as of the point in time the backup was made. This can be used for reference purposes or it could be used to restore working data back to a point in time before data problems began.
