When you use Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate security, security is required for Purchasing and Inventory. Notes: - If you want to add new users, you must be set up as an Administrator in User Settings (Tools menu, User Settings, select the Administrator checkbox). The first Sage 300 CRE user who launches the Purchasing or Inventory module becomes the administrator. This first user can create and assign other users as administrators and give permissions to those users.
- We recommend that you make a backup of your data before making these changes.
- In Purchasing or Inventory, go to Tools, User Settings.
- Click New User.
- Enter a user ID that matches an user ID in Sage Desktop and click OK.
- Enter the user's information.
- Click Options to enter the user's purchasing options.
- Click OK and Finish.
