Installing the client on a workstation

  1. Log in as the user mentioned in the error to install.
  2. If you can't use the original ID, reinstall using noprofile.
    • Right-click on the Windows Start menu and select Run or in the search bar type Run
    • Browse to the Sage BusinessWorks server, and select ...\BWProg\Client Setup\Sage BusinessWorks\Setup.exe
    • In the Run field, add /noprofile to the end of the command. The path will resemble "\\[server name]\Sage\BWProg\Client Setup\Sage BusinessWorks\setup.exe" /noprofile
  3. Click OK to start the installation.

NOTE: If the message appears when running /noprofile, you've selected the incorrect install file. Check the path in the Run field to verify you selected the setup.exe file and not the autorun.exe file.
