How to create a database in Network Edition

Perform these steps on the server where you installed the Sage Fixed Assets Network Server components:

  1. For Depreciation, on the desktop, right-click Database Utility - Network Depreciation & Tracking and select Run as administrator.
    • If you're using Planning, right-click Database Utility - Network Planning and select Run as administrator.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the folder to create the database.
  4. The default location is C:\SFAServ\Data. This location must be local to the server.
  5. Type in a Database File Name. This is the file name as the operating system identifies it.
  6. Type in a Database Name. This is the name the user will see in the database list.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Verify the new database is on the database list and click Exit.
