Cause | You can specify Control Account types in General Ledger as follows: - Select File, Company Settings, GL Settings.
- Click Processing Options, mark the Use control account types check box, and click OK.
- Select Setup,Accounts.
- Choose an account, and then mark the Control account check box.
- In the Control Account Settings area, specify the Control Account type and the warning message setting.

Resolution | Property Management does not limit entry to Control Accounts except in Tax Rate Setup (Setup, Taxes,Tax Rates). For accounts in Tax Rate Setup: Use an Other Control Acct or a non-control account. DocLink: What are Control Accounts?
