Information about date fields in Terminate Lease
- Available date
- Type the date that the unit is available. This date fills the Date available on the unit.
- Actual Move Out Date
- This date fills the Actual Move-Out date on the unit and the Actual Move-out date on the lease. The Actual Move Out Date you type is also the Unoccupied Date on the unit occupancy history. The date entered is considered vacant.
- Note: Keep in mind that you may have reports that are designed where it considers the Actual Move Out Date as occupied. You may want to have those designs changed to treat this date as vacant for consistency in reporting.
- Vacancy Loss Date
- Type the date when vacancy loss calculations should begin. This date is included in the calculation. For example, if you type 9/15 for the Vacancy Loss Date and no move-ins have occurred for the same unit within the month of September, then vacancy loss is calculated from 9/15 to 9/30 (16 days).
- Accounting Date
- Type the date you want to use as the Accounting Date on related Terminate Lease transactions (for example, vacancy loss and straight line rent).
- Lease Termination Date
- This date fills the Actual Lease end date on the lease.
- Recur Chg Termination date
- Type the first date that recurring charges should not be created. This date fills the Terminate Date on the recurring charge. When you process Generate Rent Roll, charges are created for the lease up to, but not including, this date. For example, if you type 10/1 for the Recur Chg Termination date, charges are created through 9/30.
- SLR Termination Date (Straight Line Rent)
- Type the date through which straight line rent calculations should be created. SLR calculations are not created after this date. This date is available only if the lease has straight line rent controls set up.
