| What Control Accounts can I use in Accounts Payable? |
Description | Note:
When you enter an invoice, the Account column of the distribution grid prefills with the GL debit account specified on the vendor (Setup, Vendors).
However, if the invoice does not have Job Cost related information, change any JC Cost Control Acct that prefills to an Other Control Acct or a non-control account |
Cause | You can specify Control Account types in General Ledger as follows:
- Select File, Company Settings, GL Settings.
- Select Processing Options, then mark the Use Control Account Types check box.
- Select OK.
- Select Setup, Accounts.
- Choose an account, and then mark the Control Account check box.
- In the Control Account Settings area, specify the Control Account Type and the warning message setting.
Note: For more information about Control Accounts, refer to the various control account Help topics in General Ledger. |
