Task Pane is missing in Excel when generating a Report Designer Add-In report in Sage 100 Intelligence
Description


Cause
Resolution

First, verify in Sage Intelligence License Manager, in the Report Designer Enabled field that a 1 appears. If "1" does not appear AND you have purchased the Sage Intelligence Report Designer module, please contact Sage Sales Advisor at 800-390-3643 to regenerate activation keys. If you have not purchased Report Designer module, please contact your Business Partner or Sage Sales Advisor.

If the Report Designer is enabled in License Manager, please try the following possible resolutions:

Resolution 1:

  1. Go to Excel, File, Options and choose Add-Ins
  2. At the bottom select Manage: Excel Add-Ins and click Go
  3. Uncheck the Solver Add-In
  4. Click Ok
  5. Go to Sage Intelligence, Report Manager, Financials folder and run a Financial Report Designer 1.2.0 report. Task Pane should appear. If it still does not appear, click on the Add-in tab, click Report Designer Add-in, Show Task Pane


NOTE: Disabling the Excel Solver Add-In may affect other non Report Designer Add-In excel workbooks that use the add-in to help solve problems by enabling a target cell to achieve a goal.


Resolution 2:

  1. Go to Excel, File, Options and choose Add-Ins. If the Report Designer Add-in 1.2.0 and the Report Designer Add-in 1.2.0 (Customer Task Pane Helper) are not showing in the Active Application Add-ins list, check to see if they are disabled.Select Excel Add-ins from the Manage drop down list and click Go.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Add-ins panel and see if they listed in the Disabled Application Add-ins section. If they are disabled, then scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Manage section and select Disabled Items and click Go. Then re-enable them.
  3. If they are not disabled, scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Manage section and Select Excel Add-ins from the Manage drop down list and click Go.
  4. If the Report Designer Add-in 1.2.0 is listed, check the box.
  5. If the Report Designer Add-in 1.2.0 is not listed, click Browse and browse to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\BIExcelFunctions and then select either 32bit or 64bit (depending on what version they are running) then select Sage.BI.ExcelFunctions.dll and click OK

Note: when the Report Designer Add-in 1.2.0 is selected the Report Designer Add-In 1.2.0 (Custom Task Pane Helper) should be dynamically selected. If it is not listed, click COM Add-ins from the Manage drop down and click Go and If Report Designer Add-In 1.2.0 (Custom Task Pane Helper) is on the list check the box

6. Close Excel and go back to Sage Intelligence/ Reports/ Report Manager and run the report again.

Resolution 3:

If Add-Ins are still are not on the listed in Excel, please do the following:

  1. Uninstall workstation setup DocLink: How to uninstall Workstation Setup for Sage 100
  2. Reboot your computer
  3. Reinstall workstation setup DocLink: How to install Workstation Setup for Sage 100
