Note: In these instructions, you make a shortcut for Sage Desktop. However, you can make a shortcut for any Sage Timberline Office application.

Version 15.1 and older:

1. Select Start, All Programs, Sage, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Accounting.
2. Right-click Sage Desktop, and select Send to Desktop (Create a shortcut).
3. Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.
4. In the Start in box, type the path to your company folder on the network, for example, "X:\\[Data Share Folder]\[company folder] (where X:\ represents the map drive of the physical location on the network server)
5. Select OK.

Version 16.1 and later:

1. Select Start, All Programs, Sage, Desktop. (The All Programs menu may not exist if the computer is a Windows 8 or higher.)
2. Right-click Desktop, and select Send to Desktop (Create a shortcut).
3. Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.
4. In the Start in box, type the path to your company folder on the network, for example, "X:\\[Data Share Folder]\[company folder] (where X:\ represents the map drive of the physical location on the network server)
5. Select OK.

When you use your shortcut to start the Sage 300 CRE application, you are not prompted to select a data folder.
