Note: In these instructions, you make a shortcut for Sage Desktop. However, you can make a shortcut for any Sage Timberline Office application.
Version 15.1 and older:
- Select Start, All Programs, Sage, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Accounting.
- Right-click Sage Desktop, and select Send to Desktop (Create a shortcut).
- Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.
- In the Start in box, type the path to your company folder on the network, for example, "X:\\[Data Share Folder]\[company folder] (where X:\ represents the map drive of the physical location on the network server)
- Select OK.
Version 16.1 and later:
- Select Start, All Programs, Sage, Desktop. (The All Programs menu may not exist if the computer is a Windows 8 or higher.)
- Right-click Desktop, and select Send to Desktop (Create a shortcut).
- Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.
- In the Start in box, type the path to your company folder on the network, for example, "X:\\[Data Share Folder]\[company folder] (where X:\ represents the map drive of the physical location on the network server)
- Select OK.
When you use your shortcut to start the Sage 300 CRE application, you are not prompted to select a data folder. |
