Different General Ledger reports and inquiries have different signs in the debit and credit columns. Some reports in other applications, such as Accounts Payable, show debit and credit amounts as positive amounts. This can cause confusion when reconciling with General Ledger because the type of transaction can appear as a negative on some reports in General Ledger. Signage is consistent on Inquiries. If you're unsure about what prints on a report, run an inquiry for the same account and compare the signage.
