  1. Use Windows Registry Editor to find the appropriate registry key.
  2. Right-click the registry key.
  3. Select Permissions.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Click the Effective Permissions tab.
  6. Click Select.
  7. Type YourDomainName\UserName. For example, Timberline\UserName.
  8. Click Check Names, and then click OK.
  9. The effective permissions for the specified registry key are displayed. Click OK twice and close the Registry Editor window when you are finished.
