How do I change my employee's bank routing number and bank account number?
Description

Note: Refer to the attachment above if your bank needs a new prenote as a result of the employee's account change.

The employee's routing and account number do not process on the check. If you have processed your check and then gone into the employee setup to update the banking infomation, it will not be necessary to reprocess the check. The bank and routing number are displayed on the Nacha file that gets created when you Generate Direct Deposits in Tasks.

Follow the steps below to enter the employee bank routing number and bank account number

  1. Select Setup, Employees.
  2. Click List, select the employee, and then click OK.
  3. Click Deducts and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select the Deduction ID for the direct deposit.
  4. Click Direct deposit and enter the Bank routing number and Bank account number.
  5. Click OK, Accept line, Accept table, Save, Close.
