Modify the Pervasive/Actian service to log on as the domain user with full access to the Sage Timberline Office network share
Change the logon account used by the Pervasive/Actian service. Contact your system administrator if you require assistance.These steps will also resolve Pervasive Status Code 170 errors.
- Log on to the terminal server as the administrator.
- On the terminal server, right-click My Computer and select Manage.
- In the Computer Management window, double-click Services and Application and then double-click Services.
- Double-click Pervasive/Actian SQL Workgroup.
Note: In 9.7 and later this service is Pervasive/Actian SQL Workgroup Engine.
- In the Pervasive/Actian SQL Workgroup Properties window, click the Log On tab and then click This account.
- Enter a domain account that has full access to the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate database on the file server. Enter a password and confirmation password, then click OK.
- In the Computer Management window, right-click the Pervasive/Actian SQL Workgroup service and then select Restart. You do not need to restart the server.
