Resolution
For Workstations and Servers, versions 16.1 and newer:

  1. From the Windows Start menu select Control Panel and then Programs and Features.
  2. Select SAP Crystal Reports 2013 SP2, click Remove, and complete the uninstall. If this does not appear in the list of installed programs proceed to the next step.
  3. Select SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework (32-bit), click Remove, and complete the uninstall. If this does not appear in the list of installed programs proceed to the next step.
  4. Close the Programs and Features window.
  5. From My Computer browse to and delete the following folders:
    • C:\Program Files\SAP Business Objects
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP Business Objects (64 bit machines)
  6. From the Windows registry editor browse to and delete the following keys:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\SAPBusiness Objects.
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAPBusiness Objects.
  7. Browse to the wininst directory on the server Default path: \\[Server Name]\Timberline Office\9.5\ACCOUNTING\WinInst\Prerequisites\Crystal Runtime Engine (x86) and run the CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_19.msi file.
  8. Browse to the wininst directory on the server Default path: \\[Server Name]\Timberline Office\9.5\ACCOUNTING\WinInst\Prerequisites\Post Crystal UFL Install and run As Administrator the PostCrystalUFLInstall.exe File. This is a silent install.
  9. Reboot the workstation.

If the full version of Crystal reports is needed for the modification of custom reports, verify that the above steps resolved the error message before reinstalling Crystal.
