How do I set up a dummy printer object?

Cause

We've seen compatibility issues with Brother and Kyocera Mita printers, and HP printers that use the PCL 6 printer driver.

The issues include not printing at all, printing landscape instead of portrait, and printing unreadable characters.

  1. Go to Windows Start, Settings, Devices, Printers & scanners.
  2. Click Add a printer or scanner.
  3. Select The printer that I want isn't listed.
  4. Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
  5. Select Use an existing port: LPT1: (Printer Port).
  6. Select HP for Manufacturer.
  7. Select HP LaserJet 2200 Series PCL 5 for Printers.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select Do not share this printer.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Unmark the check box Set as the default printer.
  12. Click Finish.
