The amounts on the W-2 are determined by payroll calculations and payroll records in 2-Computed and 3-Posted Status.

The following table summarizes the calculation types, tax types, and benefit types used by Sage 100 Contractor to compile tax data for each box on the W-2. Sage 100 Contractor derives the tax data from the following:

9 Advance EIC Payments Determined by the payroll calculation setup. The system prints the amount for all calculations which are designated as 9 in the W-2 Box of 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations.
No W-2 code is needed.
10 Dependent Care Benefits Determined by the payroll calculation setup. The system prints the amount for all calculations which are designated a 10 in the W-2 Box of 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations.
No W-2 code is needed.
11 Non-qualified Care Benefits Determined by the payroll calculation setup. The system prints the amount for all calculations which are designated a 10 in the W-2 Box of 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations.
No W-2 code is needed.
12 See Instructions for Box 12 Determined by the payroll calculation setup. The system prints the amount for all calculations which are designated a 12 in the W-2 Box of 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations. For the W-2 code, see the IRS booklet titled Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3, in the section titled "Form W-2 Reference Guide for Box 12 Codes."
13 Check Boxes Statutory Employee: Not applicable.
Retirement Plan: if information appears in Box 12 of the W-2 with a code of D, E, F, H, or S, this check box will be selected. For Retirement to be selected on W-2s, select the Retirement check box on the Compensation tab of the 5-2-1 Employees window.
Third-party sick pay: For third-party sick pay to be selected on W-2s, select the Third-Party Sick Pay check box on the Compensation tab of the 5-2-1 Employees window.
14 Other The amount that prints in box 14 of the W-2 is determined by the 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations setup.
The system will print the amount for all calculations which are designated a 14 in the W-2 Box of 5-3-1 Payroll Calculations.

15 State State(s) entered in the selection criteria when printing 5-4-3 W-2s.
