Locate the files and settings for Financial Reports in Sage 100
Description

Records in SY_ReportSetting.m4t may store Portrait or Landscape settings GL Financial Reports for specific workstations and printers in the Paper Orientation field.

Understand report customization limitations

  • Sage Customer Support doesn’t assist with Crystal Reports customizations.
  • Contact your business partner or Sage ClientCare for custom report support.

Protect default report formats

  • Always back up reports before making any changes.
  • Modifying default reports can overwrite formats and cause invalid results.
Caution: Changes to standard reports or forms in Sage 100 ERP can permanently affect functionality.

Locate Financial Reports Wizard setting files

  • Open Windows Explorer.
  • Go to the following folder:
    • ..\MAS90\MAS_xxx\GLxxx (xxx represents the company code).
  • Identify these files:
    • GL_FinancialReport.m4t
    • GL_FinancialReportGroup.m4t
Note: These files store report settings only. They don’t create new Crystal Report files.

Identify associated Crystal Report templates

  • Go to ..\Mas90\Reports in Windows Explorer.
  • Locate the report template that matches your report type.

Balance sheet templates

  • GL_BalanceSheet1.rpt
  • GL_BalanceSheet2.rpt
  • GL_BalanceSheet3.rpt

Income statement templates

  • GL_FinancialReport1.rpt through GL_FinancialReport9.rpt
Note: Sage 100 selects the correct template based on report creation or modification options.

Cash flow templates

  • GL_CashFlow1.rpt
  • GL_CashFlow2.rpt

Trend report templates

  • GL_Trend1.rpt
  • GL_Trend2.rpt
  • GL_Trend3.rpt
  • GL_Trend4.rpt

Understand template selection behavior

  • Sage 100 automatically selects the appropriate GL_FinancialReport#.rpt template.
  • The selection depends on report configuration settings.
  • Page orientation, portrait or landscape, depends on the selected template.
