The server administrator must perform the unique backup steps for Document Management. - Have all operators exit Document Management.
- At the server that contains the DocuVault, log on as the server administrator. The log on credentials as the Admin are required to the process being performed accurately in Server 2008 and later environments.
- Browse and double-click the DocuVaultMaintain.exe file (typically found at C:\TSDV\Server\).
- In the DocuVault Maintenance window, select the Backup tab.
- Select Prepare for Offline Backup; then click Execute Command.
Note: Before you perform a manual backup, you must execute the Prepare for Offline Backup command. If you do not execute this command first, any backup that you make is unusable. - When the command finishes, the DocuVault Maintenance window displays Ready for offline backup.
- Back up the following folders:
- Backup the entire TSDV folder
- Backup the DocumentManagement folder – C:\ProgramData\Sage\DocumentManagement folder
- Back up the Global folder on your Sage 300 CRE Accounting server – C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Global
- After the backup finishes, return to the DocuVault Maintenance window.
- Select Resume from Offline Backup; then click Execute Command.
Note: When the command finishes, a db_prog.exe window may be open. When this window displays DocuVault READY, close or minimize the db_prog.exe window. - When the DocuVault Maintenance window displays DocuVault is back online, click Close.
Note: It is essential that any backup of DM is accompanied by a full backup of the configuration files from the Sage 300 CRE Accounting and Management Products server. Verify that your regular backup of your Sage 300 CRE Accounting server and company data also includes the following folders: - If your Timberline Office Accounting server is on Windows Server 2003 – C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage
- If your Timberline Office Accounting server is on Windows Server 2008 – C:\ProgramData\Sage
