Reports printed from an application's
Reports menu are retrieved using a hierarchy:
- From the path listed in File name field in Reports Manager.
- From the current company or data folder.
- From the directory listed in File Locations, Reports.
- From the default Report folder (\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Report)
If you do not enter a pathname in Reports Manager but have specified a path in File Locations, the software will look to the File Locations path to find the report. If the report is not found at this location, the software will attempt to retrieve the report from the Report folder.
If you do not enter a pathname in Reports Manager, and have not specified a path in File Locations, the software will look in the current company or data folder to find the report. If the report is not found here, the software will attempt to retrieve the report from the Report folder.
- View the path in File Locations by clicking File, Company Settings, File Locations and scroll down to Reports.
- The Reports folder may be found at X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Reports (where X:\ represents the drive on which you installed the Timberline program files).
View the path in Reports Manager as follows:
- In the application from which you print the report, click Reports and then click Reports Manager.
- Select the report from the list and click Change.
- Note the path, if any, in the File name field.
- Click Cancel and then click Close.
If you modify the Property Management reports listed in PM Settings (File, Company/Data Folder Settings, PM Settings - Report Designs), update the path under Design Name so it points to your modified report. The hierarchy for the PM reports:
- The path in PM Settings - Report Designs
- The path listed in File Name field in Reports Manager
- The directory listed in File Locations, Reports
- The current company or data folder
- The Sage Timberline Office Report folder
