Record security restricts access to the job record in certain Job Cost, Contracts, and Project Management tasks.
When record security is active for jobs, you cannot view a job in a list or type a job unless you have security access for that job. For example, In Project Management Job setup (Setup, Jobs), when you click Find to list jobs that have been previously set up, you see only jobs to which you have access.

Note: Job level security does not restrict access to using jobs in creating entries in other parts of the program, such as Accounts Payable and Payroll. |
