What information is copied from the job record when I use the Copy Job command?

If the Create scheduled value entries check box is selected and billing is by job, a scheduled value entry is created from the source Revised contract displayed in the Job Setup window (Contract Totals tab). The value is added to the destination Contract amount and Revised contract in the same-named window and tab of the destination job.

If this record is a former extra to be merged into the job, no further processing of this record is performed. Otherwise, a copy of this record is created for the destination job and the applicable information is copied to it.

Notes:

  • To view the source job information before copying, use Setup, Jobs, select your source job, and then choose the applicable tabs.
  • If the Copy extras without the job check box was selected, none of the source information designated as "Copied from source record" is included with the new job record. This is because extra records do not contain this information.

The Copy Job command transfers information to the job record items listed on the following Job Setup tabs.
