• The computer name was changed, or something affected the Estimating license file.
• An image of the OS was loaded on the machine and/or the computer name was changed afterwards.
• The Estimating registration file has been corrupted.

Option 1

Use Estimating Tools to update the activation information.

1. Launch Estimating Tools (from Start, Programs, Sage, Sage Timberline Office/Sage 300 CRE, Estimating, Estimating Tools.)
2. Press Ctrl + F12 together. This should open up the Change Software Registration window. If you receive an error message, you may need to right-click on the Estimating Tools shortcut and choose Run as Administrator.
3. Copy and paste the Current Registration Name field into the New Registration Name field.
4. Enter the correct activation code for the application that appears.
5. Click the Update button. The window will automatically bring you to the next application if another application is installed. Go through this process with all installed modules. Do not skip anything.

Option 2

1. Uninstall Estimating from Control Panel.
2. Rename C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Estimating to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\EstimatingOLD
3. Reinstall Estimating.
   • This will update the activation information to make it work with the new computer name.
