| How do I remove License Manager? (Pervasive) |
Resolution | Note: License Manager is used on all Sage Estimating Pervasive versions and includes Sage Estimating SQL versions up to 16.11. Removing License Manager - If you are upgrading License Manager, verify that there are no commuter licenses currently checked out; they must be checked in prior to upgrading License Manager. Use the WlmAdmin utility to verify that all licenses are checked in.
- Stop the License Manager service. To stop the License Server (service):
- Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, XP - Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, Sentinel LM or Sentinel RMS License Manager, Stop.
- Windows Vista or Windows 7 - Start, Control Panel, System, Administrative Tools, Services, Sentinel RMS License Manager, Stop.
- Remove the Service. Start, Settings, Control Panel. Click Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to Sentinel LM or Sentinel RMS License Manager, select it and then click Remove.
- In Windows Explorer, (right-click on Start button, select Explore) browse to the C:\Program Files\Rainbow Technologies and rename the SentLM 7.x folder. If using version 8.0.2 or higher of License Manager, browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files and rename or delete the SafeNet Sentinel folder.
- Restart the computer.
Note: The Windows operating systems referenced here are no longer supported by Microsoft and are not compatible with newer versions of Sage Estimating. If you are upgrading your Windows operating system to Windows 10 or higher, you must be on Sage Estimating (Pervasive) version 17.1 Rev 8. |
