[BCB:4:Operating system warning:ECB]
Note: There are numerous different server programs and providers that provide the services of an SMTP e-mail server. Sage does not test Sage 100 with all e-mail services/programs/providers. Sage 100 Customer Support is not responsible for knowing the exact combination of program or provider, security or permission settings, inbound or outbound rules, account logins, passwords, bandwidth restrictions, etc. to enable successful e-mail delivery. The specifics of services, programs, and providers are subject to change. If an error is encountered, troubleshoot based on the Chilkat error log information. You may need to try various settings, or test an alternate service, program, or provider.ut
Possible Resolution:
- Run Sage 100 as Administrator (Right-click shortcut and choose Run as Administrator).
- Check Settings in Company Maintenance (Library Master, Main, Company Maintenance) on the email tab.
- Review all information appears correct for login and authentication settings in Sage 100
- Confirm information (including login and password) via web page or other login method outside Sage 100
- Click Accept to save settings in Sage 100 Company Maintenance.
- Log out of Sage 100 and re-launch Sage 100 normally (not as administrator) and test again.
- If it fails on workstation, test on the Sage 100 server directly
Possible Resolution:
- On the Exchange Server enable Basic authentication.
- In Exchange Server:
- Locate SMTP Receive Connector
- Right-Click and select Properties
- Select Authentication tab
- Check the Basic Authentication Checkbox
- Note: This allows LOGIN method to be used by Chilkat
- For Sage 100 ERP version 2013+, if email test still gets error then un-check "Offer Basic_authentication only after starting TLS" checkbox.
Note: Version 2013 of Sage 100 uses a different version of Chilkat client from older versions.
