Task Pane is missing in a Report Designer Add-in report when using Excel 2013 in Sage 100 Intelligence 2014
Description
If you have same issue but have Sage 100 ERP Intelligence version 2013 installed, please see related article.
Cause

One or both of the following would cause the Report Designer Add-in (RDA) Task Pane to be missing when using Excel 2013 and Sage Intelligence 2014:

  • If a non RDA report (i.e. Customer Sales report) is left opened in Excel 2013

 

  • If a Report Designer add-in report is already opened in Excel 2013, the task pane is missing on the second RDA report 
Resolution

Please do the following to resolve:

NOTE: This hot fix only resolves issue occurring on Sage 100 ERP Intelligence version 2014 and using Excel 2013 ONLY.

  1. Exit out of Excel
  2. Exit out of Report Manager
  3. Download & Save the attached Hot Fix to the desktop of the machine that is having the issue
  4. On the desktop, right click on the SageIntelligenceHotfix19225.exe file and select to Run as Administrator
  5. Install hot fix to the C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files or C:\Program Files\Common Files folder

Note: Repeat steps above on each machine that accesses Sage Intelligence 2014 and is using Excel 2013.

Open Sage Intelligence Reporting, Main, Report Manager 2. Run the Customer Sales Report (under Sales folder) 3. Choose start and end dates of 01 May 2010 - 31 May 2010 and click Ok 4. Leave report open in Excel 5. Expand Report Designer Add-in and run the Report Designer Add-in 1-2 report 6. Note: Task Pane is missing STEPS TO DUPLICATE for Defect 102909: Environment duplicated in: - Windows 7 32 and 64-bit - Excel 2013 (32-bit) - Sage 100 Standard 2014 Using ABC, 1. Open Sage Intelligence Reporting, Main, Report Manager 2. Expand Report Designer Add-in (RDA) and run the Report Designer Add-in 1-2 report 3. Leave report opened in Excel 4. Right click on the Report Designer Add-in 1-2 report and select Copy 5. Paste the Copy report into a folder 6. Run the Copy Report Designer Add-in report 7. Note: Task Pane is missing only in the 2nd RDA report run
