| Set up direct deposit emails for the employees |
Resolution | Configure direct deposit email settings - Open 5-2-4 Payroll Checks.
- Select a check report that's for Direct Deposit, 22, 31, or 37.
- Click Options, Direct Deposit Email Settings.
- Enter the email address to send the direct deposit emails.
- Click the Email Settings button.
- Choose the email method and enter the details. We recommend Microsoft Outlook if it's available to you.
- Click Save.
- Click Close.
Configure the employee record for direct deposit emails - Go to 5-2-1 Employees and pull up the employee's record.
- Go to their Direct Deposit tab.
- Check the Enable direct deposit box and enter direct deposit details.
- Enter their email address in the Direct Deposit Email box.
- Save the record.
- Repeat for all employees using direct deposit that you wish to email.
The system sends a direct deposit stub in a secure PDF file. Opening the file will prompt the employees to enter a password. - For US employees, the password is the last four digits of their Social Security number (SSN).
- For Canadian employees, it’s the last three numbers of their Social Insurance Number (SIN).
