Configure direct deposit email settings

  1. Open 5-2-4 Payroll Checks.
  2. Select a check report that's for Direct Deposit, 22, 31, or 37.
  3. Click Options, Direct Deposit Email Settings.
  4. Enter the email address to send the direct deposit emails.
  5. Click the Email Settings button.
  6. Choose the email method and enter the details. We recommend Microsoft Outlook if it's available to you.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Close.

Configure the employee record for direct deposit emails

  1. Go to 5-2-1 Employees and pull up the employee's record.
  2. Go to their Direct Deposit tab.
  3. Check the Enable direct deposit box and enter direct deposit details.
  4. Enter their email address in the Direct Deposit Email box.
  5. Save the record.
  6. Repeat for all employees using direct deposit that you wish to email.

The system sends a direct deposit stub in a secure PDF file. Opening the file will prompt the employees to enter a password.

  • For US employees, the password is the last four digits of their Social Security number (SSN).
  • For Canadian employees, it’s the last three numbers of their Social Insurance Number (SIN).
