Resolution

Edit Register provides a means for entering destroyed checks into Cash Management as voided checks:

  1. In Cash Management, from the Tasks menu, select Edit Register.
  2. Select your bank account and click OK.
  3. Enter the Date you want to record the void.
  4. In the Type column, select Check.
  5. In the Check column, enter the check number.
    • Note: A "V" for void will automatically be added to the check number you enter.
  6. The Description field prefills with "Void Check". You can change the description if desired.
  7. Press ENTER. The Check detail window will open.
  8. The Void Date will prefill with the system date. Change the Void Date if needed.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for any additional voided checks to be recorded.
  11. Click Finish.
  12. If the voided check(s) you entered are part of the AP or PR check sequences, you may need to update the Last AP Check and/or Last PR Check on the bank account. Refer to How do I change the last check number (starting check number) for Accounts Payable or Payroll checks?
