| How can I record voided or destroyed check numbers in Cash Management? |
Resolution | Edit Register provides a means for entering destroyed checks into Cash Management as voided checks: In Cash Management, from the Tasks menu, select Edit Register. - Select your bank account and click OK.
- Enter the Date you want to record the void.
- In the Type column, select Check.
- In the Check column, enter the check number.
- Note: A "V" for void will automatically be added to the check number you enter.
- The Description field prefills with "Void Check". You can change the description if desired.
- Press ENTER. The Check detail window will open.
- The Void Date will prefill with the system date. Change the Void Date if needed.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 3 through 7 for any additional voided checks to be recorded.
- Click Finish.
- If the voided check(s) you entered are part of the AP or PR check sequences, you may need to update the Last AP Check and/or Last PR Check on the bank account. Refer to How do I change the last check number (starting check number) for Accounts Payable or Payroll checks?
