Follow these steps in Accounts Receivable to set up the customer:
- Select .
- Enter the Customer ID.
- Enter the Customer Name as you want it to appear on reports, or click the Address Book icon
and select a name from Address Book. See "About setting up customer names" for more information on name formats.
- On the General tab, enter the customer's address, telephone, and contact information.
- Click the Status tab. Enter the terms defaults for this customer.
- Click the Contacts tab. Enter the contacts associated with this customer.
- Click the Billing tab. Enter the customer's billing and finance charge information.
- Click the Tables tab. Enter the tables you want to use as defaults for this customer.
- Click the Taxes tab. Enter the tax groups you want to use for each cost type.
- Click the Checklist tab. Enter the checklist information for this customer.
- Click each of the Text tabs and enter the text message you want printed on this customer's invoices.
- If you are using Custom Descriptions, click the Custom Descriptions tab. Fill in the customer's information.
- Click Save when finished entering the customer information.
- Click Close to exit.
