When you first install Sage 100 Contractor on a workstation and open the software, you will be prompted to choose a license server
- At the prompt, either select the option find the server on the list or manually enter the IP address or computer name of the license server
- If choosing to select from a list, locate the license server on the list, select it, and click OK
- If choosing the option to manually enter the name or IP address, then type in the computer name or the IP address of the machine you have chosen to be your license server. If the machine you are on is the license server, then type in either 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Click OK
- If the license server is valid, you will get a confirmation screen. Click OK
- Click Open Company in the top left or bottom right corner to log into your company
To change the license server
- Open Sage 100 Contractor.
- Click Cancel on the Company List screens when it opens up. OR if SQL version click on gray x inside the Connect SQL Server box (to make the connect box go away but still be able to go to the next step...it does turn from gray to red when you hover the mouse over it)
3. In the lower right-hand corner of the program, click Change License Server.
4. At the prompt, either select the option find the server on the list, or manually enter the IP address or computer name of the license server
5. If choosing to select from a list, locate the license server on the list, select it, and click OK
6. If choosing the option to manually enter the name or IP address, then type in the computer name or the IP address of the machine you have chosen to be your license server. If the workstation you are on is the license server, then type in either 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Click OK.
7. If the license server is valid, you will get a confirmation screen. Click OK
8. Click Open Company in the top left or bottom right corner to log into your company, If using SQL version you will connect to the SQL server and then be able to choose your company.
