To select the license server

After installing Sage 100 Contractor, opening it prompts you to select a license server.

1. When prompted, choose the server from the list or manually enter its IP address or name.
2. If selecting from the list, locate the license server, select it, and click OK.
3. When entering manually, type the license server's computer name or IP address.
4. If the machine you're on is the license server, type 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
5. Click OK.
6. A valid license server triggers a confirmation message.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Open Company in the top-left or bottom-right corner to log into your company.

To change the license server

1. Open Sage 100 Contractor.
2. On the Company List screen, click Cancel.
3. Click the gray X in the Connect box (it turns red when hovered) to close it.

3.  In the lower right-hand corner of the program, click Change License Server.

4.  When prompted, choose the server from the list or manually enter its IP address or name.

5.  If choosing to select from a list, locate the license server on the list, select it, and click OK

6.  When entering manually, type the chosen license server's name or IP address.

7. If the workstation you are on is the license server, type 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

8. Click OK.

9.  A confirmation screen appears if the license server is valid.

10. Click OK.     

11. Choose the company in the Company list window.

12. Click the Open button in the bottom-right corner to log in.
