Error: "You do not have sufficient permissions to post orders."
Description
Cause

You have upgraded to 14.1 or above, and the user does not have sufficient permissions to send commitments to Job Cost.

Resolution

Give the user permissions to Allow Approval of Master Compliance through Desktop Security.

  1. Log into Sage Desktop as a Security Administrator.
  2. Access Security Administration.
    • For versions 15.1 and older, Tools, Security Administration.
    • For versions 16.1 and later, Options, Security Administration.
  3. Select the Role the user is associated with.
  4. Expand Tasks, Job Cost, Tasks, Commitments.
  5. Ensure the user has permissions to Allow commit, Allow Release to Accounting, and Allow Approval of Master Compliance.
  6. Expand Tasks, Job Cost, Tasks, Commitment COs.
  7. Ensure the user has permissions to Allow Approve and Allow Release to Accounting.
  8. Have the user log back into Sage to verify they are able to post commitments from PO to JC.

Note:

If you have Project Management (PJ), you will need to give the same permissions for Project Management.

  • Tasks, Project Management, Contract Control, Commitments to grant access to Allow commit, Allow Release to Accounting, and Allow Approval of Master Compliance.
  • Tasks, Project Management, Contract Control, Commitment COs to grant access to Allow Release to Accounting and Allow Revise Commitment.
