On newer Windows, operating systems, .NET is a native application and cannot be installed from an external source. Our default installer attempts to install a compiled .NET framework and fails. This resolution outlines a way to install the client pre-requisite applications first and run the Sage installer .msi file which validates the pre-requisites but does not attempt to install them.

1. Log on the client computer as Host name\Administrator
2. Set Windows User Access Control to low within Windows Control Panel, User Accounts
3. Extract the client install files into a temp folder. Default path is: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\Sage 500 ERP Client\
4. Run VC++ setup: vcredist_x86.exe
5. Run Office web component setup: OWC11se.msi
6. Right-Click the Sage 500 ERP 201x Client.msi file and ‘run as administrator'
