Error: "Report Operation Failed" (Reinstall Crystal Runtime)
Description
Cause

Crystal Reports reporting components (Runtime Engine) is not installed on the local machine or it needs to be reinstalled.

Resolution

IMPORTANT: Will require a computer restart.

Uninstall Crystal Runtime:

  1. Launch the Windows Control Panel
  2. Uninstall the SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework (32-bit)

Reinstall Crystal Runtime:

  1. In Windows Explorer (Computer or This PC), browse to \\servername\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\WinInst\Prerequisites\Crystal Runtime Engine (x86)
  2. Double-click "CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_8.msi" to install the Crystal Reports Runtime Engine.
    Note: If the installation fails, copy the CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_8.msi file to the local computer and run.

Reinstall PostCrystalUFLInstall:

  1. Then browse to ..\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\WinInst\Prerequisites\Post Crystal UFL Install
  2. Right click PostCrystalUFLInstall.exe and choose Run as Administrator to complete the Crystal components installation.
    Note: If the installation fails, copy the CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_8.msi file to the local computer and run.
